- Powerful Data Querying Options – Source data can be queried so only specific documents are migrated that comply with data retention policies, for example. This control allows you to migrate the data and documents you need.
- Data Analysis and Conversion – As the documents and data could have been collected over a long period of time the data may need converting to terms that the business currently use. If data is not available, DocuNECT can retrieve it from a third-party system, mine the document content to extract the data, or present the information to the user for confirmation using the DocuNECT Web UI.
- Document Corruption Detection, Processing and Conversion – Documents can be converted to different formats, merged together, or split apart using DocuNECT powerful document processing engine. Corrupted documents can also be detected and replaced with placeholder documents on migration.
- Migration Reconciliation – The document chain of custody from the source and target location is recorded in the audit trail for reporting. In additional. any data or document transformations are also recorded to make sure that a complete reconciliation report of the migration can be produced and reviewed.
- Processing Scalability – Document migrations can be large and time consuming and DocuNECT provides the ability to scale to increase throughput to shorten the time wherever possible. Flexible process scheduling allows the balance between production system impact and migration progress to be achieved.
