Product Update: DocuNECT and Documentum ApplicationXtender

Portford has extended the integration with Documentum’s ApplicationXtender (AX) product, adding the following features:

  • The distribution from DocuNECT to AX support multiple indexes per document
  • COLD documents can now be exported along with image and foreign file documents
  • Documents can be exported from an AX search, a saved query. In addition DocuNECT will update an index value to keep track of the documents as they are being exported

Document Compression and OCR Server

Portford announces a major update to its DocuNECT OCR and Compression server. The new version has the following features:

1) Uses algorithmic compression on PDF and TIFF based image files to significantly reduce the storage on file shares and document management systems
2) Inherits previously OCR’d pages
3) Will OCR or re-OCR pages
4) Support for Documentum D6 and D6.5
